Paris Saint-Germain Flagship Store Photography on Oxford Street, London
There are certain projects that feel significant from the very first moment you step on site.
Photographing the first official UK flagship store for Paris Saint-Germain on Oxford Street was undoubtedly one of those.
This was not simply another retail opening. It was a statement. A bold move by one of the world’s most recognised football clubs to establish a permanent presence in one of the most iconic shopping destinations on the planet.
At JL Creative, we photographed the completed fit-out delivered by Agilité Solutions, capturing the space in its final, polished state as it prepares to welcome fans, customers, and visitors from across the globe.
A Global Brand Meets London’s Most Iconic Retail Street
Oxford Street is synonymous with retail on a global scale.
With millions of visitors each year, it is one of the most recognised shopping streets in the world, home to flagship stores, international brands and high-profile retail experiences. For PSG to launch its first UK store here is both strategic and symbolic.
The location places the club firmly within London’s cultural and commercial landscape, connecting directly with an international audience while strengthening its global identity.
For us as London retail photographers, this adds an extra layer of significance.
Photographing a store on Oxford Street is not just about capturing the interior. It is about understanding the weight of the location, the visibility of the brand and the importance of getting every detail right.
The Vision: More Than a Football Store
The PSG London flagship store has been designed as an immersive retail experience.
Working in collaboration with Lids, and delivered by Agilité Solutions, the space blends sport, fashion and lifestyle into a cohesive and engaging environment.
This is not simply a place to purchase merchandise.
It is a space where fans can connect with the brand. Where the identity of PSG is brought to life through design, digital elements and carefully curated product displays.
The store combines bold visual branding with modern retail design principles, creating an environment that feels dynamic, contemporary and unmistakably PSG.
The Role of Fit-Out Photography in Flagship Retail
By the time we arrive on site, the project has reached its final stage.
What was once a construction environment filled with materials, trades, and logistics has become a clean, polished retail space. Every detail is complete. Every surface is refined.
Our role as photographers is to capture that transformation.
To document not just the finished space, but the quality of the work that has gone into delivering it.
This includes:
- The scale and layout of the store
- The integration of digital screens and interactive elements
- The finishes, materials and textures
- The overall customer journey through the space
For flagship stores in particular, this imagery becomes a key asset.
It is used across marketing, press, internal presentations and global brand communications. It needs to be strong, consistent and visually compelling.
A London Retail Photographer’s Approach to Large-Scale Spaces
Photographing a 1,225 sqm flagship store presents both creative and technical challenges.
Large spaces require careful planning. It is important to capture the full scale without losing the detail that defines the quality of the fit out.
Our approach is always layered.
We begin with wide architectural shots that establish the space. These images show flow, layout, and structure, giving a clear understanding of how the store is experienced.
From there, we move into more focused compositions, capturing details of joinery, textures of materials, lighting features, and brand elements.
Each layer adds depth to the final image set.
Capturing Detail, Craftsmanship and Technical Execution
High-end retail fit-outs are defined by their detail, and this project was no exception.
Agilité’s delivery incorporated a number of key technical and design elements, including the integration of digital screens, structural reinforcements and carefully coordinated lighting systems.
The project also prioritised sustainability, reusing and refreshing elements of the existing interior wherever possible. The team implemented LED lighting, refined key surfaces, and renovated joinery to maintain continuity while elevating the overall finish.
These are the details that matter.
They are not always immediately obvious to the casual observer, but they are essential to the success of the project. Capturing them accurately and beautifully is a key part of what we do.
The Gear Behind the Shoot
For a project of this scale, having reliable, high-performance equipment is essential.
We photographed this space using the Canon EOS R5, paired with a selection of lenses suited to both wide architectural shots and detailed compositions.
Wide-angle lenses were used to capture the full breadth of the space, ensuring that the layout and flow were clearly communicated. Prime lenses allowed us to focus on finer details, bringing out textures, finishes and design features with clarity and precision.
Lighting was handled carefully, working with the existing lighting design of the store to maintain authenticity while ensuring clean, high-quality imagery.
Working with Agilité Solutions
Collaborating with Agilité Solutions is always a genuine pleasure, and over time, it has become much more than a typical client relationship.
Having worked together across a wide range of projects, from Alo Yoga on Regent Street to TALA on Carnaby Street, as well as multiple international projects in Paris, there is a real sense that we operate as an extension of their team.
That familiarity brings a huge advantage.
There is a shared understanding of expectations, a mutual respect for the process and, importantly, a clear alignment on quality. Every Agilité project we step onto is exceptionally well organised, with project managers and site teams who are not only highly professional, but also incredibly attentive and proactive.
Communication is seamless, and their attention to detail is second to none.
From the earliest stages through to final handover, it is clear how much care and precision goes into every aspect of their work. That level of dedication makes our role as photographers both easier and more rewarding, as we are documenting projects that have been delivered to an exceptionally high standard.
Quite simply, they are an absolute joy to work with.
Supporting Marketing, PR and Business Development
The images created from this project serve a far greater purpose than simply documenting the finished space.
At JL Creative, we always shoot with the end use in mind.
Yes, we absolutely deliver to the brief, but we also go beyond it. We are constantly looking for additional moments, details and compositions that will add value for the client.
We understand that these images will live in many different places.
- They will be used for marketing and brand storytelling.
- They will support press and PR opportunities.
- They will sit on websites and social platforms.
- They will be used in proposals, bids and presentations.
- And importantly, they act as proof of delivery.
They document not just that the project has been completed, but how well it has been completed. They showcase the finishes, the craftsmanship and the overall execution in a way that words alone simply cannot.
We love creating a comprehensive library of imagery for our clients, giving them a wide and versatile selection to work from. This allows their marketing teams, bid writers and leadership teams to choose exactly the right images for each purpose.
Strong imagery does more than look good.
It supports growth, builds confidence, and helps win work.
When projects of this calibre are recognised or win awards, these images play an essential role in telling that success story.

FAQs About Flagship Retail Photography
What makes flagship retail photography different from standard retail photography?
Flagship retail photography operates on a completely different level.
These spaces are larger, more complex and far more layered in terms of design, technology and customer experience. They often include digital installations, bespoke architectural features and a much stronger emphasis on brand storytelling within the physical space.
Photographing a flagship store is not just about capturing a shop.
It is about capturing an experience.
The imagery needs to reflect scale, atmosphere and detail all at once. It must feel impactful while still being precise and true to the space. There is also a greater level of scrutiny, as these images are often used globally across multiple platforms.
How do you approach photographing large retail environments?
Photographing large-scale retail spaces requires both technical planning and creative awareness.
We approach each project in layers, starting with wide architectural compositions that establish the layout and flow of the space. From there, we move into more focused imagery that highlights details, materials and key design features.
There is also a practical element to consider.
Often, there is a very tight window between the completion of the project and the official handover. This means we need to work efficiently, adapting to the schedule while still ensuring every important element is captured.
It is about being prepared, being flexible and working with precision under time pressure.
Who is the client in projects like this?
In many cases, the direct client is the fit-out company, such as Agilité Solutions, who commission the photography to document the completed project.
At the same time, there is often collaboration with the brand, in this case Paris Saint-Germain, particularly towards the final stages when the space is ready and the brand team may be present.
This creates a collaborative dynamic, ensuring the final imagery works for both the delivery team and the end client.
How are these images used after the shoot?
The imagery created is incredibly versatile and plays a key role across multiple areas of the client’s business.
Externally, it is used for marketing, PR, social media and website content, helping to showcase the project to a wider audience.
Internally, it becomes part of a powerful visual library.
These images are used in bids, proposals and presentations, helping to demonstrate capability and secure future work. They also serve as a clear and professional record of the project, documenting the quality of the delivery and the attention to detail throughout.
By delivering a comprehensive and well-considered set of images, we ensure our clients have everything they need to use the photography effectively across all areas of their business.
