Whilst on a trip in the Southern Hemisphere, our travel photographer Juliet Lemon was fortunate enough to embark upon a 2 week photographic assignment in Mozambique for Penguin Publishing.  Over to Juliet to tell us more…

“The brief from Penguin was a tough one: ‘to photograph several of the 5 star luxury resorts in Vilanculos and on the Bazaruto Archipelago in Mozambique for Bridget Hilton-Barber’s Travel Guide to Maputo & Southern Mozambique.

Yup, this was the stuff that dreams are certainly made of and I honestly think it was up there amongst some of the best photographic assignments in the world!

There were lots of incredible things to photograph, helicopter flights, deep sea fishing, deserted beaches, horse riding on sand dunes, snorkelling as well as absolutely stunning scenery.  It was a truly jam-packed photo shoot schedule!

Some of the magnificent resorts that we photographed and were fortunate enough to stay in included Azura, Benguerra Island Lodge, Marlin Lodge, Bazaruto Lodge and Indigo Bay.

A massive THANK YOU everyone we met and worked with along the way, with an extra special thanks to the  Travel Producer team for organising all the travel logistics (the helicopter transfer was brilliant!) and also to Penguin Publishing for this amazing assignment.”
